Leadership Society

Leadership giving begins at $1,200 (or $100 a month) and is critical to United Way’s ability to meet our community’s ongoing needs. Last year, 3,948 people chose to lead by example with a leadership contribution to United Way of Greater Milwaukee.  Contributions of $1,200 to $9,999 accounted for 17% of the $46.5 million raised in the 2010 campaign.

Leadership Levels of Giving

Your leadership gift is a key part of United Way’s ability to help more than 425,000 people this year and create lasting change in Greater Milwaukee.

• Leader     $1,200-$2,499
• Partner     $2,500-$4,999
• Advocate $5,000-$9,999

If you are already a leadership giver, please consider increasing your contribution. If every leadership giver gave just 5% more, we could raise an additional $395,000 this year to help meet immediate needs.

What Your Leadership Gift Can Do

• A gift of $1,200 provides art supplies for one early childhood education classroom for a year.
• A gift of $2,500 provides 20 distressed families access to counseling for issues such as anxiety, depression, unemployment, parenting support or poor school/work performance.
• A gift of $5,000 supports 2-1-1 @ IMPACT’s 24-hour helpline for one day, providing 600 people with personal, confidential assistance accessing urgent resources.
