Our Ratings

United Way of Greater Milwaukee is recognized both locally and nationally for its track record of efficiency, investing nearly 90¢ of every dollar raised into community problem solving.

United Way is working harder than ever to maximize resources. In 2009, United Way invested nearly $40 million into community problem solving – totaling more than $1 billion invested in its 101-year history.

United Way’s high rate of efficiency is possible because of the hundreds of volunteers, including its board of directors, Campaign Cabinet and volunteer committees who help with everything from organizational oversight to fundraising to the program review and funding process.

Accountability and openness is critical to United Way’s success. Its financial information is available online.
