We are a highly-efficient charitable organization as shown by our four-star rating from Charity Navigator – 89% of your dollars go directly to helping people through United Way programs. The remainder provides the resources that United Way needs to continue to make a difference in people’s lives. United Way of Greater Milwaukee has become the first nonprofit organization in Wisconsin to receive the Better Business Bureau's "seal" of approval for operational accountability? This means that United Way of Greater Milwaukee has passed the BBB's 20 Standards for charity accountability. Our Board of Directors, internal committees and community volunteers all come together to make funding decisions.This ensures the highest ethical standards are followed in fund distribution.
