Michael Best & Friedrich held a “thank you” reception on December 22, 2004, to recognize staff members and associates for their contributions to the United Way of Greater Milwaukee campaign. Pictured with United Way employees Josh Gentine (far left) and Nicole Emer are campaign coordinator Joe Pickart (second from left), the Milwaukee office managing partner at Michael Best & Friedrich, and campaign volunteer Bob Berdan (far right), vice president, general counsel and secretary for Northwestern Mutual. Berdan was on hand to express his gratitude to Pickart and to the many other individuals at Michael Best & Friedrich who helped champion the success of the firm’s internal campaign. The firm’s overall participation rate climbed to 60% this year and an amazing 97% of all associates made a gift to the campaign. The staff increase earned them the reward of an extra PTO (paid time off) day. Thanks to Michael Best & Friedrich for their fun and successful campaign.
