The Nonprofit Management Fund has been chosen as a finalist for a MANDI Award in the Vision category. The Local Initiatives Support Corp. (LISC) of Milwaukee presents the annual MANDI Awards, also known as Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation. This year’s finalists and award winners will be honored at 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 10 at the Pfister Hotel during a special recognition event.
The Vision Award is presented to a foundation or corporation that has shown strong commitment and leadership in transforming our community through financial contributions or in-kind support to community development efforts.
The Nonprofit Management Fund is a collaboration of funding partners that distribute resources to improve the management effectiveness of nonprofit organizations in Metropolitan Milwaukee. The Nonprofit Management Fund partners include: United Way of Greater Milwaukee, Helen Bader Foundation, Faye McBeath Foundation, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation, Harley-Davidson Foundation, Fleck Foundation, Northwestern Mutual Foundation, Patrick and Anna M. Cudahy Fund, and an anonymous donor.
Collectively, the Nonprofit Management Fund partners have contributed over $4 million to provide technical assistance to nonprofit organizations for projects including board development, financial management, technology assistance and strategic planning. Since its inception, the Nonprofit Management Fund has strived to strengthen nonprofits by establishing initiatives to enhance Board governance, improve technology, increase earned revenues and strengthen the Latino Community.
