Team from Harley-Davidson Motor Company Comes Out on Top

Free throw shooters representing Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Johnson Controls, Inc. took to the court at halftime during the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New Jersey Nets game on Tuesday, January 5 for a shoot-out to benefit United Way of Greater Milwaukee.

Each team had one minute, in single shot rotation, to make baskets from the free throw line. The team from Harley-Davidson Motor Company, comprised of Andrea McClain; Capitol Drive facility, William Eaton; Pilgrim Road facility, Gary Branger; Juneau Avenue, and Audrey Mueller; Franklin Distribution Center were the jubilant winners of the contest. For their efforts, they will be presented with tickets to an upcoming Milwaukee Bucks home game, courtesy of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The two companies qualified for the honor of playing in the Milwaukee Bucks Free Throw Challenge by raising at least $10,000 dollars for the 2004 United Way of Greater Milwaukee Community Campaign through corporate, employee and special event contributions, having at least 25% participation level among employees, and raising at least $2500 more in combined corporate and workplace contributions over the previous year.

The 2004 United Way Community Campaign, which concluded on December 6, raised over $37 million to improve the lives of people living in Greater Milwaukee.
